BrownEyes: Amor: Vol. 1 - In My Lifetime

Heart opening, soul pouring, and chapter closing are a few ways that one may describe the first full length anthology of poetry by Akilah Miles. Akilah writes an enthralling collection of poems that takes you on a journey of the ebbs and flows of life and love. Enjoy a host of poems that embarks on a thought provoking roller coaster ride of the highs and lows of a young woman finding her voice in life and love. With each word Akilah persists on a quest of understanding herself, love, and life all while grappling with the pain and pleasure of understanding her place in this world coupled with her perception of unconditional love. Her poetry broadly addresses narratives of the human experience. Follow her on this journey of discovery through those "Pretty Brown Brown" eyes as she spills her heart to the world through pen.
