Children At Play

Pulled from beneath a stack of old toys, in a dusty back corner of the Midnight Vault, this book of illustrated, twisted children's tales will both enlighten and terrify. It's childlike drawings, illustrated by the daughter of the Vault's founder, showcase each profoundly metaphorical story, and bring an innocence mixed with an underlying darkness that one could only expect from the vault of CK Gauntt. Stories include: Snow Day, a young girl's day out of school turns into a fight for survival; Men of Fame, a retelling of the Bible story of the Great Flood, as seen from the eyes of a young boy and the giants called Nephilim that he encounters on his journey; Truth or Dare, where an innocent kids game has the potential to unlock the gates of Hell; and the Hidey Hole, an account of one child's game of hide and seek or is it a soldier's fight for his life? Found, unlocked, and illustrated by Lilly Gauntt, Children At Play brings the children's stories from the Midnight Vault into full illustration for the first time...and you won't believe your eyes.
