Doctor Savage

Doctor Savage always wanted to become a doctor. It took years of examinations, failures, fees and determination, but the dream refused to disappear. Now, wearing the white coat he had imagined since childhood, Savage enters the medical profession with enormous confidence, unforgettable opinions and a solution for almost every problem. He can turn a simple consultation into a political debate, a ward round into a social gathering and an ordinary ambulance journey into a national emergency. He forgets appointments, misplaces important objects and occasionally relies more on instinct than medical procedure. Yet beneath the chaos is a man who remembers people, cares deeply and genuinely believes that laughter can be the best medicine. Inspired by a childhood story first invented in Kabwe, Zambia, Doctor Savage is a warm and sharply observed comedy about ambition, friendship, medicine and the extraordinary disorder one man can create while trying to help. Some doctors save lives quietly. Doctor Savage makes sure nobody forgets that he was there.
