Dumbstruck, Vol 1: Starting Line Detour

Adventure. Discovery. Freedom! These are what college students look forward to as graduation day nears. But for this comic book artist-turned-actor, that path took an unexpected detour. Chuck's final college quarter started with the September 11th attacks and a traumatic breakup, sending him off into a world very different than he expected. Stripped of a sense of direction and left with a confounding inability to trust the world around him, he took a "normal" job away from the arts and set about slowly rediscovering and reconstructing himself. In the process, he found that the world is a crazier place than he had realized. Dumbstruck is an autobiographical journal comic that captures the bizarre, the crazy, the beautiful, and the unexpected along the journey from college to "real" life. Volume 1: Starting Line Detour collects the first year of Dumbstruck comic strips, including a brand new introductory prologue.
