Langoelan

A tiny French village. A crumbling mansion. A deep, dark secret. An amazing story. Connor Thornton is a bitter man under intense pressure. His marriage has failed, his son wants nothing to do with him and he is unable to find his next story after the success of his debut novel. He escapes his life in Australia to recuperate in a friend's house in Langoelan, France, a tiny village in picturesque Brittany. Here he meets a quirky collection of people and discovers a fascinating ruin of a mansion which completely captures his imagination. Connor sets out to discover its story and as he follows the slowly unravelling thread of information, he learns about Albert and Marie-Louise Haik, the home's original owners. As he discovers more of their incredible story and their family secret, he also discovers more about himself. This story is a work of fiction that is based on fact.
