Raemakers' Cartoons is a collection of political cartoons by Dutch artist Louis Raemaekers, accompanied by notes from well-known English writers. The cartoons were originally published in The Amsterdam Telegraaf during World War I and depict the atrocities committed by the German military. The notes provide context and commentary on the cartoons, offering insight into the political climate of the time. The book is a powerful reminder of the impact that political cartoons can have on public opinion and the importance of free speech in times of war.
