The Dark Waters of Glenrowan: Part One:

The story of Ned Kelly, reimagined as an illustrated Australian epic. A bush legend. A hunted man. An iron mask. One final stand. This is not the story history remembers. Australia, 1880. Three days before the siege of Glenrowan, a comet burns over the Victorian Highlands. While Dan Kelly, Joe Byrne and Steve Hart share whisky, songs and uneasy laughter beneath its light, their leader stands alone before a different fire. Under Ned Kelly's hammer, plough iron becomes armour: a shield against the law's bullets and a mask that will outlive the man inside it. Beyond the firelight, the comet's reflection trembles upon the dark water. From the depths, something rises to meet them. The Dark Waters of Glenrowan is Part One in The Kindly Darkness, an illustrated Australian anti-history that reimagines the Kelly story where recorded history meets myth.
