The Person I Loved Asked Me to Die in My Sister's Stead, Volume 4

This haunting and heartfelt other-world, master-and-apprentice fantasy romance follows a lonely woman who has sacrificed everything for love -- and her student in magic, whose goal is to defeat her but who may just help her learn how to live again. Based on the popular light novel series by Mizuki Nagano. As guardian of the dangerous Predawn Realm, Wisteria Irene has lived a lonely existence -- until the day Lloyd Wruning arrived to become her apprentice in magic. Lloyd has always kept his friends and paramours at a distance. Yet, when confronted with the mysteries of Wisteria and her life in the Predawn Realm, Lloyd is desperate to know more about her. While Lloyd closes in on the carefully constructed walls around Wisteria's heart, Wisteria must keep her guard up. After all, letting him in now would only make losing him harder when he inevitably returns to his world... and his bride. Wisteria's heartache threatens to shatter her completely when Lloyd finally asks her: "Did you become a guardian... for the person you love?"
