The Swamp Fox - The Battle of Cowpens: A Revolutionary War Historical Comic

The Swamp Fox - The Battle of Cowpens brings one of the decisive campaigns of the American Revolution to life through sequential art, battlefield action, and historically grounded storytelling. As the war in the Carolinas intensifies, Francis Marion's partisan struggle becomes part of a wider campaign involving Daniel Morgan, Nathanael Greene, Banastre Tarleton, and Lord Cornwallis. The story follows the movement toward Cowpens, the battle itself, and the relentless pursuit that follows across the Catawba, Yadkin, and Dan Rivers. Rendered in a vintage American adventure-comic style, the book combines recurring characters, period uniforms, military strategy, river crossings, cavalry action, and the brutal winter conditions of the Southern Campaign. Each page advances the campaign visually, showing how mobility, timing, terrain, and command decisions could matter as much as musket fire. This second issue of The Swamp Fox Chronicles stands alone as a complete historical comic while continuing the larger illustrated story of the Revolutionary War in the Carolinas.
