The Defeat of The Maldives Demon

Have you ever wondered how Islam reached the Maldives? This short graphic novel recounts one of the most extraordinary - and true - stories from our Islamic heritage: the defeat of the demon that once terrorized the Maldives. Based on the account of the famed traveler Ibn Battuta in his Book "Ar-Rihlah", this tale introduces young readers to the world of the jinn in a thoughtful, informed way by recounting the story of Abul Barakat Yusuf Al-Barbari, a Moroccan Sheikh who visited the islands in the 12 th century, following which the Maldives was for ever transformed. Part of the Tales of Muslim Heroes series, this book blends fast-paced panels, authentic references, and engaging visuals to inspire readers with the courage and faith of those who stood against evil - not in fantasy, but in reality. Includes a brief introduction to the jinn, lessons from the story, and geographical insights into the Maldives. A powerful reminder that our heritage is filled with real heroes and meaningful stories - ready to inspire a new generation.
