How to choose LGBTQ+ comics

This section collects comics about LGBTQ+ lives and relationships. Choose by genre and check the intended age.

Memoir, romance, drama and more

LGBTQ+ comics include memoirs, romance, coming-of-age stories, drama and genre fiction. The shelves group stories by focus, and the description gives the genre.

Memoirs and nonfiction tell real experiences; fiction may be set anywhere from a school to another world.

From young readers to adult

Books here range from stories for teenagers to work written for adults. The publisher's age rating is the guide.

Some manga in this section carries an adult rating; check each volume.

Check the volume number

Many graphic memoirs are complete in one book, while manga and romance can run for several volumes.

Find the first volume of a series before buying a later one.
